Request for Expressions of Interest

This request for expressions of interest follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in Development Business No. 750 issued on May 16, 2009.

Bosnia and Herzegovina, and through sub-agreement Federation of BIH, has received grant financing from the Global Environment Facility through International Bank for Reconstruction and Development toward the cost of Forest and Mountain Protected Areas Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant to payments under the contract No: BA-FMPAP-TF-091919-CQ-09-CS-10/FBIH, for preparation of the Management Plan for Park of Nature “Blidinje”.

The services include Developing the Management Plan for Park of Nature “Blidinje” that is integral part of wider landscape Cvrsnica, Cabulja, Vran, Prenj area. Management Plan will provide long term vision and strategic guidance for the stewardship and management of the Park of Nature “Blidinje”.

Implementation of the services would be within a period of 7 (seven) calendar months from the start date.
The Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism now invite eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide the following information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services:
1. Description of consultants’ organization and capacities;
2. General qualifications;
3. Description of similar assignments,
4. Experience in similar conditions,
5. Availability of appropriate skills among staff (natural resource management, environment and biodiversity, social sciences, tourism and eco-tourism, forestry and agriculture, economics and investments, law, public participation, monitoring and evaluation. International experts in environmental conservation and/or protected area management included in the proposal would be an advantage).

Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications. Joint ventures should submit letters of intent indicating their intent to form a joint venture if awarded the contract and shall provide the above mentioned information for each member of the joint venture.


A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, May 2004, revised October 2006.

Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below by August 10, 2010.
